My very favorite thing about this workshop, in addition to providing attendees with two great handmade gifts for Mom (a little floral arrangement AND an abstract mini), was the opportunity I had to collaborate with so many talented people.
Kate foraged *yes, foraged* the most beautiful blooms and greenery for us to use when creating individual milk jar floral arrangements. Kate gave us lots of helpful tips and tricks for arranging and combining both flowers and greenery in a simple, charming and natural way. Unpretentious, unfussy and easy to recreate at home.
After creating our milk jar arrangements, the painting fun began! I guided the workshop through the basics of painting a still life scene (in this case a small collection of flowers) and shared some helpful tips and tools to make painting the scene more approachable, fun and easy.
With the help of a mimosa or two (compliments of Stoney River) and the vision/direction of Whitney from Anthropologie, attendees created STUNNING arrangements and BEAUTIFUL mini paintings. Everyone seriously blew me away! Thanks to all who attended and made the workshop as awesome as I hoped it would be.
Below, you'll see some of my favorite moments from the workshop documented by the super talented Katie Meek Photography. Thanks so much for sharing your talents with me, Katie!
Special thanks to for Refuge Floral Co for letting us all play with such beautiful blooms/greenery, to Stoney River Steak House for the festive mimosas and sweet treats, to Whitney + the Anthropologie team for your creativity and hard work, and to Katie Meek Photo for your unique perspective and beyond gorgeous images of our workshop.
Thankful for my Nashville friends, both old and new, and the opportunity to work with such an amazing creative team.
Oh, and Happy Belated Mother's Day, Mom! xoxo
